Highly experienced craftsmanship was required to accommodate sub-freezing operating temperatures throughout the plant during this project. Our team applied multi-layer extruded polystyrene with Mylar vapor barrier and color-coded PVC jacketing for indoor locations, and white aluminum jacketing for systems located outdoors. Most of the new piping was installed parallel to existing systems in multiple phases with final connections performed during weekend shutdowns to ensure production was back online the following workweek. The overall scope of work included new ammonia refrigeration piping and equipment, as well as major modifications to existing systems.
